Meet Margie Llorente Gonzales: a versatile artist and experienced event organizer with over 30 years of expertise in event planning, staging, and management.

During her pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at the Philippine Women’s University, Margie generously shared her natural talents in the performing arts. She trained students in theatrical dancing, performed in school events, and provided choreography and dance & fitness instruction both on and off campus.

Margie is a highly regarded community leader, having selflessly contributed her talents and skills to her church, community, and various socio-civic organizations. Notably, she has held officer positions in esteemed groups such as the Rotary Club of Pasay Central in the Philippines, the Asian American & Pacific Islander Democratic Caucus of Nevada and the Asian Community Resource Center, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She has also been involved in organizing high-profile events during her tenure as an Executive Assistant to a 5-time Speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives and as a Consultant to a successful Real Estate Developer who was a Rotary Club president.

Margie’s expertise extends to the radio broadcast industry, where she worked as a radio soap scriptwriter (DZXL) and later, a film industry talk show executive producer and co-host (DZEC) in the Philippines. Here in the US, she was producer and co-host of a public service tele-radio show AT YOUR SERVICE with Bing Formento at PHLV Radio.

During her more than 16 years of US government work at the US Department of Homeland Security (Transportation Security Administration), she worked as Administrative Assistant but ultimately became the Editor-in-Chief and Art Director of the agency’s newsletter called THE LAS STRIP.

A UNLV publication called REFLECTIONS: THE LAS VEGAS ASIAN AMERICAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER ORAL HISTORY PROJECT features Margie as one of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) personalities and features extensive background interviews.

In 2019, Margie served as Commissioner at the Clark County AAPI Community Commission, serving as chair, and completing her term of office in 2021.

She is acknowledged as the first Filipina to assist in managing the campaign for a NV State Senator candidate by focusing on the AAPI votes and stories.

She is credited for the use of the Filipino Kamayan style of celebrating, using it as a campaign platform. Because of this, she earned the monicker Kamayan Queen which she holds to this date.

Combining her vast experience, education, skills, and talents, Margie made a pivotal decision in 2022. She ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her own company, E Cube Solutions LLC., which specializes in event management and production.

Margie is a recipient of several awards and recognitions attesting to her dedication, commitment and passion for what she set out to do for the community.
